Through a new third-party product, Local Motion Portal, SAFARI Montage now provides a familiar, web-based interface with thumbnails that enables districts to publish video content for anyone in the world to access. This public access is achieved through the integration between SAFARI Montage CreationStation®, Managed Home Access (MHA) and the Local Motion Portal, which makes it easy for anyone to view recorded school board meetings, special holiday celebrations, professional development, fundraising campaigns, graduations and more. The Local Motion Portal does not require a login; therefore, it provides a tangible connection with the community.
The Local Motion Portal utilizes the metadata created in SAFARI Montage, but it also provides the ability to be edited independently on the portal. It uses thumbnail images, keyword searching, highlighted titles and searching by various criteria (i.e., most recent, by topic, grade level, school, school group).
SAFARI Montage is the exclusive, authorized reseller of Local Motion in the K-20 educational market.
