Duration: 3 hours
Maximum Class Size: 15
Teach your students to appreciate historical perspectives and hone their analytical skills with Document Based Questions (DBQs). We’ll show you how to use the SMART Notebook software to create DBQ activities and templates that will encourage inquiry and critical thinking. Using SMART Board Tools, we’ll construct DBQs to capture test questions and manipulate them in Notebook. You’ll learn how to copy a document into the Notebook software from websites such as National Archives, online copies of letters and diaries, and the Library of Congress. Like detectives, your students will follow a set of clues to draw conclusions and make observations.

Learn how to organize video and audio clips, still images, and SMART Notebook files into a multimedia playlist, using SAFARI Montage. We'll show you how to search your SAFARI server for thousands of K-12 educational video titles, and share playlists with other teachers in your school or district.
