Google SketchUp Pro for New Jersey

The New Jersey Department of Education has recently announced that all teachers in the state are now eligible for a free subscription to Google SketchUp Pro.  Google SketchUp is a 3D modeling software application that is used extensively by schools worldwide to explore, explain, and present their ideas using 3D models. Normally, a school would have to pay for a pro account, which allows for more options and features than the free version.  The program is used by K-12 teachers in many subject areas, so there is something for everyone within the software. It can also be used in conjunction with Google Earth (Google Earth in the Classroom Webinar).

This is a grant that New Jersey has applied for, and teachers will benefit by taking advantage of their free subscription.  Check out the New Jersey Department of Education’s announcement of Google SketchUp for more information.
