Common Core Sample Questions Released

New York State has released Common Core aligned sample questions for grades 3-8 ELA and Math.  While these documents are from NYSED, this is a useful glimpse at what future nationwide assessments may look like. The questions are “out for review,” and there’s a survey to provide feedback.

There are approximately twelve questions for each subject and grade level.  Sharing these questions with your students is encouraged, and the video below shows how you can use the SMART Notebook Document Writer to make it easier to share from the SMART Board.

You can provide feedback on the sample questions here.

When I go to the printers, I don’t see the Smart Notebook document writer as one of my choices. Help! I usually just take a picture of the section I want while in a Notebook file but this is much easier!

  2. Hassan Adrob says:

Amazing … I will make use of it

  3. Michelle says:

Thank you! I wish I knew that trick years ago!

  4. Susiequsie says:

Wow, thanks for the great tip! I’m still recovering from the shock of the difficult math questions, but avoiding the ink layer will make life easier.
