Scribblar is a collaborative online workspace with features similar to SMART Notebook. It’s terrific fun if you teach in a one-to-one setting, have access to a computer lab, or would like to offer kids a collaborative workspace beyond the classroom. It’s quick and easy to create an account and a “Room,” and it works better than any of the many sites like it that we’ve tested.
Scribblar also has many useful features such as chat, two-way microphones, Wolfram Alpha Equation Editor, and language settings. The video below is a quick demo of how Scribblar could be used in the classroom.

Hello Stefan,
Thanks for the tip, and thanks for creating Scribblar. We did notice that resolution was a factor in how the shared pointer displayed. On screens with a aspect ratio other than 4:3, we found that the workspace “tiled”, and if the student wasn’t in the top left display, the teacher would be unable to see their pointer.
All the Scribblar fans here at Teq appreciated your continued efforts to improve it.
Cheers.
Hi, Stefan here, the founder of Scribblar.
Thanks for this excellent video, it shows some really neat creative uses for the tool. I’ve not yet seen someone seen the shared pointers in so many different ways.
I feel the need for a little gotcha: you may have noticed that the shared pointer is not always accurate in its positioning. I’m working on a fix for this, but right now different users with different screen resolutions or those who have changed the scalemode of the board may find heir own or other user’s pointers in the wrong place and this may not be immediately apparent.
Thanks again for the video, it’s really great.
