This month the Teqsplorers are visiting the Large Hadron Collider to help us learn how to find circumference and radius as well as study the behavior of quarks. You can join the Teqsplorers and download interactive lessons on these topics for SMART Notebook, RM Easiteach, and ActivInspire from our Educator Resource Center.
In the Large Hadron Collider lesson, designed for middle school math, students will learn about radius and circumference and how they are used to measure the size of a circle. They will learn key vocabulary and use the correct formula to measure the radius and diameter of various circles including the Large Hadron Collider. (Download: SMART Notebook, ActivInspire and RM Easiteach)
The high school physics lesson focuses on helping students learn about quarks and how they connect to the Large Hadron Collider. They will learn key vocabulary and construct protons and neutrons using the appropriate quarks. (Download: SMART Notebook, ActivInspire, and RM Easiteach)
Check back to see where the Teqsplorers are off to in June!
