New Features in Notebook 11.4

Great news for everybody struggling out there with the Flash issues – the latest SMART Notebook update (Notebook 11.4) not only has some cool new features, but it is also compatible with Flash! As a result, your Lesson Activity Toolkit and other Flash-operated functions will work properly. Follow this link to get the most recent version of Notebook and this link to update Adobe Flash Player. (You must install Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.152 or later)

While we are at it, here are two of the new features found on Notebook 11.4

    • Alignment Tools add-on: Notebook included an add-on tab (the one that looks like a puzzle piece) to the top of the toolbar. This tab provides us with new alignment tools that allow you to align selected objects on the page on the bottom, to the left, to the right, and on the top; as well as vertically or horizontally.

  • Ink Handwriting: When converting ink to handwriting on the left side of the page, the text is positioned to fit on the page correctly. (This is a fix to problem from previous versions of Notebook).

The alignment feature looks good, but there are some other features you should have on Notebook like:
    1. Screen shade – The teacher or student should be able to change the color of the screen shade. The students would love it if you had this feature.
    2. Please – make a feature where you can record your voice as an MP3 within Notebook and then be able to save that recording in Notebook to use with other pictures on the Notebook page.
I hope you listen to opinions of teachers as myself.
    Thank you,
