“Our Community” is basically an introductory lesson into the community thematic unit for this Spring. Our students in K-108 will be learning about the community outside of their homes and school. This lesson will help our class understand and be able to tell others what a community does and how it helps us. The students in K-108 will be able to engage in interactive matching games, videos and songs. The whole lesson focuses on setting a foundation for the students to know and understand what “community” actually means and then it is broken down into categories that help the students understand all the different components that make up their community in their own neighborhood.
