Students will learn the key words to describe the steps of a process. Each student will come to the board and interact with various types of pages related to sequencing events. The students will begin with pictures and sequence them according to their prior experiences with the items. Then students will have to use the pictures to tell a story. While explaining the steps, students will begin to say the key words of sequencing. The “Key Words” page allows them to discover the words and see their order. Students will then sequence sentences to tell an event they do frequently. To show their understanding of the topic, students will then write their own “How to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich” paragraph.
