HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. – July 11, 2011 Teq announced today that Damian Scarfo will be promoted to chief executive officer, effective immediately.
In his new role, Scarfo will be charged with managing the company’s effective operations as it continues to experience double-digit year-over-year sales increases. He will ensure that customers continue to receive exceptional service from Teq, the leading service provider in its field. And, he will oversee a management team focused on evaluating new opportunities, including new classroom technology solutions and an entry into business solutions.
Scarfo previously held the title of chief administrative officer and director of sales operations for Teq. Prior to joining Teq, he held positions as vice-president of operations for Acclaim Entertainment and senior manager of worldwide operations for Computer Associates.
The promotion takes place on the heels of the company’s move into its new 45,000-sq-ft corporate headquarters, in Huntington, N.Y.. Scarfo takes over as CEO from owner and founder Rob Sugarman. Sugarman will remain as chairman of the board.
