Course Identifying and Evaluating the Effective Use of Technology in the Classroom Google Admin Platform Administering Chrome Devices Minecraft for Education STEAM Makerspace Adobe Photoshop
Description Continuing on from the “Identifying Effective Use …” course, we will look at classroom scenarios and use rubrics, lesson planning and observation sheets to guide teachers to  higher levels of instructional effectiveness. Learn to organize your Google Apps for Education, according to your school or district needs. Topics covered include creating administrator roles, organizational units, and updating settings and security for your domain. Once you have set up your Google Apps for Education account, learn how to enroll your students’ Chromebooks, set up apps and extensions, answer questions about mobile devices, and more. Experience a true gamification experience as we explore Minecraft in the Classroom. Minecraft gives students the ability and freedom to create anything, pushing their imaginations and problem solving skills to the limit. Learn how to play this simple but engaging game and discover the many benefits of bringing this popular game into your classroom. Join us to discuss tips for implementing your own Makerspace, and have your own time to explore various technologies typically explored in Makerspaces! In the three-hour session, participants will create and utilize skills and features to do advanced photo editing and visual effects that could be further used on other applications. These skills can be used for one-off singular purposes or part of a large themed project involving other Adobe applications.
