Pyramids of Giza

  • Have students locate “The Pyramids of Giza” virtual tour and dive right in.
  • Explore the Great Pyramid, the Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx. Make sure to pay special attention to the size and dimensions of the pyramids.
  • With the information gained from their VR tour, have students use a CAD software (e.g., Tinkercad) to create a scaled 3D model of one of the pyramids, exploring the math behind the pyramids.
  • If your students have designed a digital 3D model, have them practice their 3D printing skills and produce a scaled replica.
  • For a low-tech option, have students produce their scaled model using paper, cardboard, or a similar consumable.
