HR Department


The Human Resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the HR Team and identifies departmental goals
  • Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law
  • Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to support continual improvement for the company
  • Serve as functional resource for employees, ensuring their understanding and compliance with benefit and HR policies and regulations
  • Plans, directs and carries out policies relating to all phases of personnel activity
  • Studies legislation to assess industry trends
  • Advises management to appropriate resolutions of employee relations issues; Keep management team advised of potential problem areas and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate
  • Responsible for evaluating and suggesting new benefit or compensation structures or changes to existing plans
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness and compliance
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carriers
  • Demonstrates knowledge of EEO policy; Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; Educates employees and management on the value of diversity; promotes a harassment-free environment; Builds a diverse workforce

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of HR experience
  • PHR or SHRM Certification preferred
  • Experience working with executive level management

Pay and Perks:

  • $60,000-$65,000 Salary Range
  • 16 Paid Days Off Plus 14 Paid Holidays
