Job Summary

Teq is seeking a Curriculum Specialist to design, develop, refine, and deliver Teq’s Professional Development (PD)/Professional Learning (PL) content, curriculum, and project-based learning (PBL) educational resources. The Curriculum Specialist will adhere to effective instructional practices for teaching and developing adult learners in multiple environments. The selected candidate will create materials for Teq’s onsite trainings and online learning modules.

This includes, and is not limited to, interactive whiteboard content, lesson plans and materials, instructional blocks (iBlocks), and both self-paced and synchronous web-based learning solutions. The Curriculum Specialist will also be responsible for the effective development, presentation, and delivery of courses and workshops designed to improve both teaching and learning on Teq’s Online PD platform – OTIS for educators. Additionally, they will also occasionally provide PD/PL at conferences and onsite (virtually) in schools/districts.


  • Design PD/PL sessions and instructional resources geared toward teachers (educators), administrators, and parents/families, Pre-K to 12, that appeal to various learning styles.
  • Develop lesson objectives, outlines, and other course documents per Teq PD standards.
  • Design and develop project-based learning lessons, pathways, and supporting content and curriculum resources.
  • Utilize various tools to create and maintain interactive and engaging courses for both embedded trainings (mentoring, coaching, and workshops) and online formats.
  • Evaluate the curriculum Teq offers on an ongoing basis in coordination with the PD Management Team.
  • Actively pursue opportunities to learn best practices in curriculum writing through research, professional development, and other professional opportunities.
  • Enhance the PD/PL content on Teq’s Online PD platform – OTIS for educators to ensure relevance to teachers and school leaders thereby increasing value, revenue, and profit.
  • Work with selected 3rd party publishers, partners, and internal stakeholders to curate, customize, implement, and support high quality PD/PL experiences onsite and online.
  • Deliver PD/PL experiences both onsite and online as needed or requested.
  • Provide assistance and sales support on matters related to education, PD (training), professional learning resources, project-based learning (PBL), and best practices.
  • Other duties assigned as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree in Education, Education Technology, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
  • Experience with instructional design, learning design, or curriculum design.
  • Knowledge of Google apps, Adobe and MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability in creating and implementing professional development
  • Experience integrating technology into curriculum and instruction
  • Working knowledge of relevant state standards
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and possess strong project management skills
  • Ability to use multimedia authoring tools such as Camtasia, Captivate, Final Cut Pro X

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range $57,500-60,000K
