ISTE Session: Math-Infused 3D Printing

Sometimes the “M” in STEM is treated as an afterthought. So how can we do a better job infusing mathematical concepts into STEM programs? You can join our ISTE 2019 session to learn two great techniques!

Math-Infused 3D Printing: Tessellations and Volume Models with Tinkercad

“Math-Infused 3D Printing: Tessellations and Volume Models with Tinkercad” will be held on Tuesday, June 25 from 10:45 AM to 12:15 PM at ISTE. The session room is still TBD.

If you are interested in participating in this session, attendees should bring their own devices and have a Tinkercad account so any created designs will be saved online for further exploration. For an account, go to and select “Join Now.”

ISTE Standards

This session will cover the following ISTE Standards:

Empowered Learner

  • Students use technology to seek feedback that informs and improves their practice and to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways.
    Integration video

Innovative Designer

  • Students know and use a deliberate design process for generating ideas, testing theories, creating innovative artifacts or solving authentic problems.
  • Students develop, test and refine prototypes as part of a cyclical
    design process.

Follow up with Terry at ISTE

After the session, follow up with presenter Terry VanNoy at ISTE booth #1446 with Teq Online PD.
