Robert-Wayne Harris

Chief Learning Officer

Robert has been an educator for over 20 years, working in almost every capacity in the field of education. Prior to Teq, he served as the Superintendent for the Roosevelt School District, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, School Improvement, Professional Development, and Planning for the Freeport School District, Associate Director for the Long Island Regional School Support Center, and an Educational Planning Administrator for Nassau BOCES. While serving as the Superintendent of one of the most challenged and controversial school districts in New York State, Robert was charged by the Commissioner of Education to reform the educational program, to improve academic performance, and to restore the financial stability of the district. Due to Robert’s successful leadership, Roosevelt SD was removed from NYS oversight and restored to local control. Robert remains the youngest and second longest seated Superintendent in the district’s history.
