Here at Teq, we all know well that teachers deserve the much needed rest and relaxation that comes along with summer vacation. We hope you enjoy every minute of it, fellow educators! But we also understand that many teachers and administrators like to use this free time to brush up on their instructional skills in order to return in September refreshed, inspired, and well prepared for whatever lies ahead. The Main Courses: (9:00am – 12:00pm)

A) For Teachers = The Effective Integration of Classroom Technology into Teaching and Learning

• 1.5 Hours on “Designing Better Content.”
  You will be provided with rubric and review design concepts for better presentations. Come spend an hour or so creating content beneficial to your subject area and grade level using SMART Notebook, Google Slides, or Microsoft PowerPoint.

• 1.5 Hours on “Content Management Systems”
  Join us to learn how to build a “Welcome Back!” platform in either Google Classroom or Edmodo as well as how to implement these platforms into your classroom for the school year. We will teach best practices on using a CMS that you can implement immediately. Keep up to date with the trends of technology in learning.

B) For Principals and Administrators = Evaluating the Effective Use of Technology in the Classroom

• 3 Hours on “What does effective technology integration look like in schools?”

We will spend some time focusing on TPAK and SAMR frameworks and examine how technology integration should look like in the classroom. Discussing roles of the teacher and the students as well as introduce tools that are effective when evaluating technology use in the classroom will be a big concentration.

Following your “Main Course,” Teq employee’s will provide you will a complimentary BBQ. (12:00pm-1:00pm)
