Maplewoodshop is a mobile woodshop station that teaches woodworking to K-12 students and includes a purpose-built tool chest, workbenches, and all the necessary tools to enable any classroom to become a woodshop!

What’s included

Each portable Maplewoodshop tool chest comes with:

  • Tabletop work benches for up to 16 students (2 students per bench)

  • 16 each: pull saws, coping saws, combination squares, tape measures, rasps, screwdrivers, 8oz hammers, safety goggles, ear protection, scissors, compasses

  • 8 each: block planes

  • 2 each: cardboard sectors, metal dividers, ¼” drill bits, 5/16” drill bits, F clamp, eggbeater drills, 5/8” brace bits, coping

  • 1 each: saw blades, bottle of glue, box of 3d nails, box of screws, box of dust masks, box of pencils, roll of PSA sandpaper, set of tool safety cards, safety poster, extra pull saw blade, box of bandages.

  • 1 year of operational support including training videos

  • Ready to implement lessons and projects via the online learning platform

  • Access to the Maplewoodshop community to connect with other educators via the online platform


The Maplewoodshop Program

The program combines a student-friendly woodshop station, including all necessary workbenches, tools, and materials with the Maplewoodshop online learning platform, which offers access to well-integrated project plans for STEAM, CTE, and more. Projects can make reading, math, science, SEL, and social studies relevant for students.

Maplewoodshop teaches students critical life skills through its woodworking curriculum and lets students explore potential trade careers in a hands-on way. Quarter, semester, and full-year program options are available.

1. Training for all educators, no woodworking experience required!
Enabling educators to teach woodworking with a 3-step program: online professional development instruction to get acclimated, live training provided remotely, and continued customer engagement to ensure success.
2. All ages and grade bands K-12 and transdisciplinary
Project-based learning that aligns with national standards and integrates STEAM, SEL, and literacy. Special education and CTE programs are available.
3. Comprehensive support including program launch
From basic operational support to sharing advanced techniques, help is even provided to organize purchasing materials from local suppliers. Includes annual re-training, access to new lessons, and more!
4. Student-friendly, portable workbenches
Compact, portable, storable, and effective, these workbenches enable safe woodworking. Workbenches come in pairs to encourage collaboration. The patent-pending design allows fast setup on your tables.
5. Safe, student-friendly tools!
Over 220 hand tools and safety gear. No additional ventilation, insurance, or certifications required. Includes essentials like tape measure, combination square, hand saw, hammer, goggles, etc.
6. Hyper-functional tool chest
Lockable, durable, and portable, the custom-built tool chest will serve your STEAM lab for years. Every tool and workbench live neatly in its place to encourage responsibility.
