The Wonder Workshop robots are a great tool to introduce programming and coding to students in a way that’s both engaging and playful. They might look like toys, but the bots are powerful tools to explore the world of robotics in the classroom. With Wonder Workshop, robotics becomes an activity that involves the entire class, and has students thinking, problemsolving, and learning together.

Program Dash to do anything from reacting to the sound of a clap, to performing a victory dance, to detecting and avoiding obstacles. Responding to voice, navigating objects, dancing, and singing, Dash is the robot that keeps your classroom engaged.

Push the boundaries of what is possible with Dot, a small but mighty robot. Dot is responsive and can interact with Dash with its sophisticated technology.

Choose from 4 unique hero avatars and explore an amazing depth of personality with Cue, a witty robot with attitude. Built with Microsoft’s MakeCode platform, editing and translating between block and text code is simple.

Wonder Workshop Class Connect and Dash’s Neighborhood

Students can learn coding at home using a virtual Dash robot. Educators can track student’s progress at home and access Workshop’s curriculum online for an easy way to document and manage student learning remotely.

With Class Connect, teachers can:

Use the new Dash Neighborhood tool in Blockly to teach students coding concepts using a virtual Dash robot in an interactive environment – no robot required

Deploy lessons to all of their student devices and start gathering work in seconds.

Synchronize or differentiate challenges across their classrooms.

Share classes and dashboards between educators for collaborative coding and robotics teaching

It’s Rewarding to Be a Wonder Workshop Robot(s)

Inspiring kids to learn while having fun is no small feat, and the world has taken note.

Discover what’s possible.

The applications for using robots to teach are endless. In this lesson idea, students code Dash to go along with a Map Skills unit, creating a vibrant and multi-disciplinary learning experience.

Dash Discovers The World

  • Lay an oversized map of the world on the floor of your classroom during your Map Skills unit.
  • Code Dash to travel to three different countries on the map. Have students do this by identifying the cardinal directions.
  • Ask students create a story about Dash's adventures travelling the world, recalling specific details about Dash's code as well as the map skills recently learned.
  • Give students time to present their story. Stories can be in the form of a coded display with Dash, a stop-motion video, an essay, poem, and more!

Drive student achievement, and career readiness.

Introducing iBlocks, a cross-curricular, holistic learning approach by structuring your learning content with a primary and secondary subject focus. But because iBlocks are also customizable and expandable, these foci can change to suit your school’s needs, should you choose to tailor your iBlock.

Tech-Infused Learning: Geometry with Dash

Looking for technology-infused learning ideas for your math classroom? In this session, we'll guide you through a geometry lesson that will put your students' critical thinking and measuring skills to the test! Geared towards 3rd through 6th grade students, this lesson will incorporate one of Teq's favorite robots: Dash! In this lesson, students will apply their understanding of geometry to create different shapes using their Dash robot. Students will explore angles, quadrilaterals, polygons, algorithms, design planning, and block-based coding.
