Shorter attention spans and SMART solutions
According to a Time Magazine article published back in May of 2015, researchers found that humans now have a shorter attention span than the average goldfish. Due to the increase in overstimulation from technology “people now generally lose concentration after eight seconds, highlighting the affects of an increasingly digitalized lifestyle on the brain.”
Whether you have personally been affected by a “digitalized lifestyle” or not, there is no denying—it has become more difficult to hold the attention of our students. But fear not. With SMART Ink, there are tools to help.
Take a look at the video above, where Teq’s Director of eLearning, Joseph Sanfilippo, teaches you how to focus student attention using SMART Ink’s spotlight, magnifier, and magic pen features. These solutions can be used inside SMART Notebook, as well as outside on websites and in other programs. It even works on all SMART Boards and IFPs as long as you have the SMART Notebook 16.1 software.
