HUNTINGTON STATION, NY, March 18, 2020 – In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Teq (www.teq.com) has just announced free access for all educators to PD courses across the OTIS for educators platform (www.OTISpd.com).
“We understand that these are challenging times for schools,” said Teq CEO Damian Scarfo, “and we are here to provide the relevant resources, guidance, and support that schools might need.”
The professional development content on OTIS for educators can assist teachers as they shift to a distance learning model. Sessions like “Remote Learning: Things to Consider” and “Remote Learning with SMART Learning Suite Online” are two examples of courses hosted on the platform that can assist educators as they make this challenging transition. In addition, OTIS for educators also hosts sessions that can help educators become comfortable as they explore and navigate the many distance learning tools and technologies that are available to them.

Individual educators that wish to access the OTIS for educators content can sign up for a free Basic account. While normally this provides limited access, Teq will now automatically upgrade each Basic account to a full subscription. Schools interested in taking advantage of this service are requested to fill out a brief form to get their entire school equipped with free accounts.
In addition to opening access to OTIS for educators, Teq has also curated resources for educators looking for further tools focused on distance learning and remote instruction.
