Teq Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY, May 15, 2019 – Teq is pleased to announce that as of May 13, 2019, Jennifer C. Eddelson, CPA, has joined Teq as Chief Financial Officer.

Jennifer has previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Newtek Business Services Corp. from July 2011 to May 2019, and prior to that, as Controller and Vice President of Financial Reporting since 2004.

Prior to joining Newtek, Jennifer spent eight years with Janover, LLC, a public accounting firm, primarily in the audit and tax area. During her time at Newtek, Jennifer partnered with the executive team to implement the company’s strategy and achieve the organization’s long-term goals.

Jennifer will be bringing her experience with financial statement and regulatory reporting, as well as operational and control processes, to Teq. The company has recently expanded their business into Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, and is the exclusive reseller of SMART Technologies in New York and New Jersey.

“We are very fortunate to have Jennifer join our team,” said Teq CEO Damian Scarfo. “We look forward to the positive impact she will have on both our business strategy and territory expansion.”

Jennifer has expressed her excitement in joining Teq, saying that she is “impressed with the agility of the company as well as its strong mission to impact education across the country.” Jennifer is a member of the NYS Society of CPAs and a member of the AICPA. She resides in Bellmore, New York, with her husband and twin 12-year-old sons.
